Last year Beyonce Knowles made an appearance in Oprah Winfrey Show and testified that she lost 20 pounds through lemonade diet, also known, as the master cleanse diet!

Here are few things you can learn from Beyonce Knowles that you can apply in your lemonade diet or other diet.



1. Do that extra mile

In the preparation of Dream Girls movie, scheduled to be released last christmas, Beyonce was required to play a slender singer called Deena Jones.

The movie crew could do a good job preparing her to be Deena Jones, but Beyonce is a girl who give the best in every role she is assigned to.

As quoted in China Daily:
"Normally they'd change your make-up or your clothes but I wanted to go the extra mile, back in the sixties, models like Twiggy were popular and I knew Deena would have been thin then, so even though I really love eating, it was necessary to lose weight really fast because we shot Deena at 16 and Deena at 36 two weeks apart."

In doing your diet, you need to give it your best so that you get the best result. Many of us would be just satisfied just to meet the diet requirements everyday.
Make sure you drink more than 8 glasses minimum requirement everyday. Go that extra mile to drink 10- 12 glasses.

2. Fend off the craving

Beyonce confessed that it was hard. "People were eating Krispy Kreme Doughnuts around me" she told Oprah.

Craving will surely happen to you during your lemonade diet. However drinking more lemonade or water can solve it. Since this is a detoxifying program, most likely you will crave what you are detoxing from your body. You will likely miss those dangerous foods such as, donuts, pizza and other fast foods.
Fend off the craving and when in doubt, resort to more lemonade.

3. You should pity other people instead of yourself

Other people surrounding us are not involved in the lemonade diet. Stop looking at them as if they are blessed with the opportunity that you don't have.
It should be the other way around, out of those super size eaters you single out by doing this lemonade diet.
It's them whom you should pity of not having their body detoxified.

4. The end of lemonade diet is not the end of your journey

Beyonce gained weight back quickly after she finished doing her diet.

"My nutritionist suggested the only way to do that was the [maple syrup diet] fast. As soon as it was over, I gained the weight back," Beyonce is reported as saying.

She already has a good figure that she still looks good even though she gained weight after the diet. However that may not be the case for you who undergo this diet for weight loss. You still need to follow a less strict diet to maintain your weight.

Remember the purpose of this diet is for healthier living, adjust your eating habit accordingly after the diet.
It's no use sweeping the floor if you keep sprinkling dirt on it afterwards.
